Zero Waste Yukon is a collaborative effort created to increase awareness and action in Yukon communities around consumption and disposal of resources. It is a community initiative as a part of Raven Recycling, with many stakeholders working together towards Zero Waste goals.

What is Zero Waste?
Zero Waste is a goal which strives for the sustainable use of materials through thoughtful design, reduced consumption, and increased recovery of resources.
From the Zero Waste International Alliance (2018):
“Zero Waste is the conservation of all resources by means of responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery of products, packaging, and materials without burning, and with no discharges to land, water, or air that threaten the environment or human health”
